Susan Tuttle and Sandy Ste. George

Treasures, Trinkets, & The Mermaid's Tail

Two Local Artists Share Their Latest Wares

Artists Sandi Ste. George of Harpswell and Susan Tuttle of Bowdoinham are coming together this fall to present an eclectic mix of their latest works at Portland's own Casco Bay Frames-The Gallery.

Ste. George's love of the sea and fascination with mermaids is evident in her artwork. She uses brightly colored pencil drawings, clay and plaster masks decorated with found beach objects, and mosaic panels to celebrate these mystical creatures.

Tuttle considers herself to be a mixed media artist who has particular interests in collage with vintage imagery, assemblage, altered art, and abstract painting. She states, "I love color, texture, and playing with various mediums to express whatever happens to be in my heart and mind in the moment." Some of her work will be published this winter in a book entitled Kaleidoscope: Projects and Ideas to Spark Your Creativity (North Light Books, March 2007).

Both artists look forward to having you join them at their opening reception, Friday, November 3rd 5-8pm at The Gallery at Casco Bay Frames at Back Cove Hannaford Plaza, Portland. Light food and drink will be served. The show runs from November 1-30th. Contact Tony for more information at 774-1260 or tony@cascobayframes.com
