Laurel attended the George Washington University in Washington, DC hoping to earn a degree in international studies but quickly changed to fine arts after taking a photography class. She then poured herself into photography and painting, which took her to Italy for a school year. Wishing to further her studies she matriculated at the Pratt Institute where she earned her MFA in Photography and met her husband, Charles also a photographer. They then moved to Maine to pursue another passion, sailing. After two one year sailing sabbaticals to Florida and the Bahamas and two energetic boys, Laurel has found herself once again in the workplace. She is delighted to be standing in front of the pictures, playing once again with colors and textures.
Laurel also has a new line of handmade body products including soaps, lotions, lip balms and body scrubs. She is a passionate cook, gardener, reader, mom, ice skater and connect 4 player.
Laurel also loves to roam around in the woods and drink coffee. She lives in Bowdoinham with her husband and two children.- BA in Fine Arts at George Washington University
